Quality Control

Wherever possible we deal directly with original producers, farmers and or their principal brokers or sales agents. We generally do not use trading houses to minimise the supply risk. We often use our local agents to inspect materials prior to purchase and prior to shipment.

We operate a "quality management and procedures system" within all our business areas. This provides for written procedures, specifications and test documents and the recording of results as well as traceability and recall systems. We quality control each and every incoming raw material against our specification. The exact parameters for QC tests will vary from product to product These tests include compliance with the following to achieve positive release of the goods:
Organoleptic assessment (odour , appearance , taste etc) as appropriate.
Visual evaluation (colour , clarity , foreign materials etc) 
Specific Gravity (SG) 
Optical Rotation (OR) 
Refractive Index (RI) 
Flash Point (FP) 
Solubility (usually in ethanol) 
Product specific tests. 
We run our own HP – GCMS equipment in the UK "in house" and comparative data
profiling is a routine QC tool. 
We have an analytical and QC/QA department of 10 full time staff in the UK. 
Full technical specification, including MSDS and GC Analysis data sheets (where relevant) are available to bulk customers for all products.
